In 2006, U.S. News and the World Reports ranked Benedictine University sixth for campus diversity and the 29th best university in the Midwest with 40 different majors to choose from, to experience a liberal arts education. The admissions counselors really push the value of having a long term goal of the liberal arts, combined with your major, which prepares you for rewarding career. "This is a wonderful rating to have and it can only get better", said Mr. David Striker, Benedictine University Registrar, "The Dupage County area isn't very diverse, but I enjoy walking into work everyday seeing people of different race, culture, and religion walking and conversing together". The admission philosophy is to choose students who they believe will really strive in the classroom, no matter what their race, religion or ethnicity.
